‘And let us be concerned about one another in order to promote love and good works, not staying away from our worship meetings, as some habitually do, but encouraging each other, and all the more as you see the day drawing near.’ (Hebrews 10:24, 25 HCSB)
G’mornin’ God’s Child-
I’m not into religion. I am into this sacred journey that God Most High is escorting me through.
I have had a very deep preparation into the Holy, I grew up totally immersed in a Southern Baptist theology, and it marked me, BUT, contrary to those that protest organized religion, I can stand and say, without a doubt, I was not scarred; I did not come out of that training wounded, and I would not trade
the tutelage,
or the training,
or the mentoring,
or the friendships,
or the holiness,
with how I was taught the Sacred and it has been through that experience that I have opened to receive more and more of the the Holy Spirit.
What I witnessed from people sharing their lives through the ups and downs of their seasons is a gift I wouldn’t trade for anything.
Fellowship is both a gift and an offering to my Creator.
It is also a gift and offering to each other.
Ups, downs, victories, crisis – I love my church family. And, even with my quirks and flaws, they love me. (GLORY!!)
The groundwork was laid, and it continues. It came with the greatest benefit of all: Christ. I’m continuously being wired for what is still to come … in this life and the next.
**Today’s picture is of my lil niece during prayer requests at church. She’s got her hand up like her PaPa. She was peeking at her momma!! (Isn’t that great?!!!)
