October 31, 2012 wheel

Same ole, same ole.
Dealing with the daily.
All wrapped up in it.
All wrapped up.
Hours eaten up with critical thinking.
Grumbling seeps in with the dailyness.
Hmm, was that rude? Didn’t even notice. Too comfortable.
And, we fall asleep at the wheel … dead asleep … as if we fancy we had any control of the wheel at all.
Then, the curve surprise. Didn’t see it coming. The curve and the cliff. Just like that, many Americans wake up to a broken world. Broken and misplaced. Wide eyed fear.
Beloved, the God of the Angel Armies calls you His own. Your Creator has final victory – no matter what cyclone your day brings.
No matter what the view from inside your head – Father God is in FULL control.
Open the eyes of my heart Lord.
“I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people” (Ephesians 1:18 NIV)

October 30, 2012 steep

Soak in it.
Renew. When you meditate, you renew…
It changes you.
What you love is what you think about.
What you love is what you do.
What is steeping in your mind DearOne?
Where are your thoughts?
Here is a starter for you:
“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” (Philippians 4:8 ESV)

October 29, 2012 whisper

Just a simple whisper …
While we breathe today, tucked safely in the center of our Oklahoma plains, many American hearts are bracing themselves for a few days if terror. Chaos. Fear. It is hard to wrap our minds around the chaos of fear…unless we think back to our own days of being stricken with loss.
In obedience to Father God, believing that His ways are right – in spite of the storm: stop what you are doing; pray for the safety of another.
Give your prayers away freely today. Lift each person your eyes take in … Family. Friends. Teachers. Authority people. News anchors. Wind blown people. Farmers you pass on the road. Churches you pass by. T-Birds checkers. Warrior Mart checkers. Sonic car-hops. Mailman. The person in the car with you. Bank people. Hair stylist people. Law enforcement people. People sporting smiles. People with forehead creases.
Whomever catches your eye today-whisper a prayer for them.
“The prayer was no sooner prayed than it was answered. Jesus called twelve of his followers and sent them into the ripe fields. He gave them power to kick out the evil spirits and to tenderly care for the bruised and hurt lives.” (Matthew 10:1 The Message)

October 28, 2012 hog wild

This is odd for me. I like stuff. Especially my stuff. But an urge to deep clean has been smiling at me long enough to press through my pores and stage a presence.
Beloved, our Creator is in the business of rebuilding. He takes broken things, broken people, broken systems, bad habits, and His promise is “I will bring you back” (Nehemiah 1).
God loves impossible situations. It is where He gets to show off His finest work! Talk to Him about your broken parts. Unleash His Spirit to rid the hog-wild that holds you.

11-12 “The real action comes next: The main character in this drama—compared to Him I’m a mere stagehand—will ignite the kingdom life within you, a fire within you, the Holy Spirit within you, changing you from the inside out. He’s going to clean house—make a clean sweep of your lives. He’ll place everything true in its proper place before God; everything false He’ll put out with the trash to be burned.” (Matthew 3:11-12 The Message)

October 26, 2012 freedom

Stepped out back this morn to a chilly black sky filled with billions of sparkling bright stars that pierced into every cell in me screaming “FREEDOM”.
Father God speaks to me in themes. When His lesson begins coming from many different voices, I’ve learned to listen.
Beloved, those of us who have knowledge of His freedom can’t swap it out for ignorance. It must be shared. It must be shared. By any means you can … Speak Him, Write Him, touch, text about Him, FB @ Him, Pinterest @ Him, tweet @ Him, dance @ Him, workout @ Him, whatever it takes to bring him to the top of your energy to share Him.
And, as we give Him away, oh my soul, He reveals even more of Himself to us! Glory bumps!!
Does that make sense? Go.

” I know now that the LORD is greater than all other gods, because he rescued his people from the oppression of the proud Egyptians.” (Exodus 18:11 NLT)

October 25, 2012 gate

You know His name and you are marked. No matter what your past holds, Jesus has marked you. And, there is nothing you can do about it.
The full genius of the plan will, at some point, strike you. SweetHeart, allow your gates to open fully to His rescue – He will blast them off their hinges when you truly unleash to Him. It is time. He knows where you are, His beloved marked one. He hears you.

‘God heard their groaning, and He remembered His covenant promise to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He looked down on the people of Israel and knew it was time to act.’ (Exodus 2:24, 25 NLT)

October 24, 2011 deep

Overlay after overlay.
Layer after layer slathered with urges to conform to the expectations of others.
Losing yourself in the process – losing sight of your Creator’s true version of you…all for a nod of man-made approval. Do you not know DearOne?
As deep calls unto deep, the true desire of every man is to live in the Holy Spirit. I dare you to move in the unique creation that is temporarily housed in your skin.
I dare you to move in the holy nature of God himself.

‘Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.’ (Romans 12:2 ESV)

*Romans 12:1-2 are my life verses, by the way 🙂

October 23, 2012 if-only

Experience a shiver of awareness of what is going on here DearOne …
If only… If only … If only … Very often the “if-only” thoughts clog up moving on to the thrill of the better-still life.
If-onlying is like stuffing up the soul with junk food. It is one thing to be stuffed with Hershey bars and ice cream. It is quite another to be truly nourished.
The only way to move is to defy your own logic. When if-only thoughts begin to suffocate, tell them to sit down and be quiet…or go away for a time until you are done. Put your foot down to the noise Sweetheart. That noise is stealing your moments. Keeping you at bay from your Creator’s best for you.
It is time to go. Let loose in your creative force. Healing comes when you begin to trust and allow yourself to move.

‘And he said to them, “Go…” ‘ (Mark 16:15 ESV)

October 22, 2012 simple

The choice today is quite simple Dearheart:
1) choose to be bummed that your blessed break is in the books,
2) FIGHT FOR YOUR JOY and allow every action, every thought to revolve around what Father God is doing today in your life.
Beloved, you are the called-out one.
Do not take that lightly.

Simple choice.
‘”You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.’ (Matthew 5:14 ESV)

(*thanks Brother Matt for the material!)

October 21, 2011 habit

‘But all who are among the living have hope’ (Ecclesiastes 9:4 GWT)

Gee whiz. Life tends to deliver some seasons that shake harder than others. The bell to end the round of blows just won’t come. Expecting hit after hit, blow after blow becomes a habit.
Dearheart, this is an ‘aha’ moment you need to accept: drawing down thoughts of hope is a habit.
Believing promises of Father God is a habit.
Living in thankfulness for your unique life is a habit.
Finding the excellent life lessons in the hard times is a habit.
Loving the Creator’s ‘YOU’ is a habit.
Then, being the magnificent person you have always been becomes a habit.
