“So the LORD must wait for you to come to Him so He can show you His love and compassion. For the LORD is a faithful God. Blessed are those who wait for His help.” Isaiah 30:18 NLT
Good morning, BraveSoul,
Softness is not weakness. It takes bravery to stay delicate in a world this brutal, DearOne. This heart inside is a muscle that needs exercise … the kind that comes when we
-choose compassion toward those who’ve thrashed us,
-choose forgiveness when their behavior comes from a dark place,
-the kind of muscle that over and over sets you and I back in the presence of the Almighty to know His love again.
Allowing ourselves to know Him, to trust the Most High … yes, even there … even there in the bleeding space … allows us to give away His love again – no matter the raw places that might take you.
You don’t own the tormented soul of another. Some things are simply not yours to fix – they are for the Master’s touch alone, in the Master’s time. Set them out of your space – where you spend up your energy trying to “fix” them, and set them into the hands of the Potter. Notice the enemy’s plot to keep you bound up in a side show … the enemy’s plot to keep your eyes off of Christ’s invitation to dance with Him. God does His most Divine work in the most impossible hearts. God’s work moves ahead when we stop feeding, stop enabling bad behavior. Get out of His way. With a compassionate heart, set aside.
Wake up.
Stay tender.
