“As you learn more and more how God works, you will learn how to do your work. We pray that you’ll have the strength to stick it out over the long haul—not the grim strength of gritting your teeth but the glory-strength God gives. It is strength that endures the unendurable and spills over into joy, thanking the Father who makes us strong enough to take part in everything bright and beautiful that He has for us.” Colossians 1:11-12 MSG
Good morning, StrongOne,
I watched two stallions go at it in a lot one time. They were up on their hind legs, clawing and trying to tear each other apart. They tore down the fences. It seemed to last forever. They were fighting for position. Fighting for their joy.
Are you in the fight for your joy? Life hits hard and keeps pounding. That’s the nature of the beast. Everyday, we have to strengthen ourselves in God’s balance to reclaim His voice, His vision, His ways, His fire.
We can go without many things for a long time. But, not joy. It calls to be found. We begin searching before we are ready – before we are strong enough to find it again, before we know enough, we begin moving out of the blackness toward it … before we know what to say and how to call it, or the language to speak.
Refuse to be captured by the dark and the empty. The Almighty has sharpened your instincts to pounce. Let your eyes show your grit. Let your Maker lead you to the joy of your liveliness.
Wake up.
Fight for your joy.
Go.
