‘For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God, since it is written: He catches the wise in their craftiness;’1 Corinthians 3:19

Hello God’s Child,
As a little girl, I loved making mud pies. Day after day, my friends and I would turn our backyard picnic table into a world class bakery! Each delicacy, topped with a rose from next door, bermuda grass parsley, or a feathery mimosa tree bloom. Simple times.
The world calls and calls to keep you distracted — to keep you from living out the ways of Jesus. Sweetheart, everything you do has an impact on someone else.
Everything.
The world charms you. The enemy uses worldly “ideals” to keep you hectic and distracted.
Worn.
Broke.
Dissatisfied.
DearOne, it is time to get off the squirrel-wheel.
Stop and think. Let every action carry the flavor of eternity – stay clear-headed enough to be able to choose. It takes a lot of work to slow down.
Step back.
Rethink.
Examine ideas.
Take every thought into the light of God’s Word – even if it takes you through a bout of spiritual wrestling.
Wrestle away.
Peace and obedience are at stake.

‘You were shown these things so that you would know that the Lord is God; there is no other besides Him.’ Deuteronomy 4:35

Hello PreciousOne!
We began our search for the Mystery as children, feeling a wild rush of a supportive Presence hovering near. We noticed, more than simple happenstance, a breeze, a falling leaf, a lake wave – and we were certain something blessed had passed by. We shivered a knowing, heard a familiar breath, and we could not turn away, but were drawn in, and we began to shadow the Holy.
He shadows us in return. Encouraging and waiting, with full knowing He breathes, and we know, we trust, we believe.
Often, the daily tremors of the Holy Spirit mark our way to His wisdom. We sit knowing that something powerful, some wild freedom of the Almighty is on the move.
Wake up.
Notice His presence.
Go to bed.

‘May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to You, Lord, my rock and my Redeemer.’ Psalms 19:14

Hello SweetSoul.
Healing words. Their medicine is heightened by the tone and the sounds of the beginnings and endings, by the flow, by the intention, by the unfolding of the sound.
Words as medicine are seeds – not chosen by some 3 point process, or set of rules, but rather by following the lead of the Holy Spirit, unshakable, embedded in daily life.
As a keeper of words, Dearheart, you and I have been wired to deliver their energy in packages that have potential to grow the soul of each other toward Christ.
Work with your God-given words. Water them with your blood and tears and laughter til they bloom when shared with another.

‘He will certainly accomplish what He has decreed for me, and He has many more things like these in mind.’ Job 23:14

Good morning, SweetOne.
In the midst of broken bones and wounds from the journey, never mis-think that you are alone in your challenges.
Dearheart, you and I can be finished with relationships, finished with works that shrink us down instead of expanding us, finished with those who want to diminish us, but we can never be finished with the mystery of the Almighty.
His ways are right.
He is working in you right now.
He will accomplish.
Father God calls.
Walk as His warrior:
stand up,
speak up,
take action,
create,
in His name.

‘Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker! For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand.’ Psalm 95:6, 7
Hello, Beautiful.
There comes great wisdom from the depths of shaken days. A fresh-born understanding breaks through the shadows in which we have been living.
When the ordinary habits and hub-bub of daily faces get rocked, when the schedules get interrupted, and the drive home gets detoured, we search and merge to a place to be captured by the thrall of the Holy.
Captured and freed at the same time.
Redeemed.
Reborn.
Wonderment.
Capture us, Lord!

‘If God is for us, who can be against us?’ Romans 8:31

Hello SweetSoul.
Often, in our human skin, we minimize the Magnitude.
Oh, we don’t mean to. We just get caught up in … well … life.
Then, we get still to hear the calm of Father God, who has risen to rise and rise in us again and again.
His calm, as a mighty river flows steady on, like a heartbeat:
easy,
intent,
muscular,
present.
He is fully present, a pure flow into you and me, His beloved. He burns pure-fire bright, magnificence into you and me.
He loves.
Oh Dearheart, He loves.
Live there.

‘How long will I store up anxious concerns within me, agony in my mind every day? How long will my enemy dominate me? Consider me and answer, Lord my God. Restore brightness to my eyes; otherwise, I will sleep in death…
But I have trusted in Your faithful love; my heart will rejoice in Your deliverance.’ Psalms 13:2, 3, 5
Good morning God’s Child,
Some seasons of life are extreme. They sneak up on us – we react, yet the results are different from what we expect. So, we hold on to what we have learned, and in the days of unrest, we can’t help but hear the Voice break through. The Holy Spirit does forceful work just below the surface. When we begin to emerge from the undercover of brokenness, we may appear unchanged outwardly, but inwardly we have reclaimed a vast Power. God Almighty sets His spark. On the surface we are still friendly, but beneath the skin, we are no longer tame.
Holy Spirit, move us.

‘Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the jail were shaken, and immediately all the doors were opened, and everyone’s chains came loose.’ Acts 16:26
Man, oh, man, DearOne,
Yesterday, I made a list of people who have touched my life who are, right now, suffering terribly, IN. DIRE. CRISIS. On the list were ones who are trembling from an earthquake that just won’t stop. There are so many, the list filled an entire page. These are not normal days.
As I was praying through, my Creator reminded me of Paul, in prison, in chains. Everything In his world had crumbled. Every habit he ever knew, every secure relationship, every boundary he had known since childhood – gone. He had given them up to follow Christ. And, there he was – chained. Uncertain.
Bewildered.
Sad, but still singing praises.
Called, yet trapped in a situation for which he didn’t ask.
Then the real earthquake began to shake. Walls crumbled. Chains fell. And, the same began happening to hearts – walls crumbled. Chains fell.
Sometimes it takes the radical to shake us and our people to the core to finally get to the place of His peace.
The stakes are high Dearheart.
We don’t see the big picture to know how this will turn out. But, Father God knows. And, His promise for our good, and not to harm us.
We must press on.
We must press on.

‘Even when I go through the darkest valley, I fear no danger, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff — they comfort me.’ Psalms 23:4

Good morning SweetSoul.
Think about God’s promise:
“For You are with me.”
“You are with me.”
In the drama of the daily, I believe it takes only one person to give the order to reveal His presence. Minds get so caught up in the pain of the stories as they unfold.
We know where our Father God is, like love itself, He cannot be held back by walls nor by bars. He is ever-present, gathering force, below, under our feet, above – in the heavenlies, surrounding our very skin, flowing out into us, then through us. He is ministering to us through the very atoms to fill the spiritual thirst, to heal the heart. He bends to give warmth to what has gone cold in spirit. He heals the heart.
Keep this prayer on your lips today, DearOne: “Father. Stay close. For You are with me.”

‘I also said to the king: “If it pleases the king, let me have letters written to the governors of the region west of the Euphrates River, so that they will grant me safe passage until I reach Judah. And let me have a letter written to Asaph, keeper of the king’s forest, so that he will give me timber to rebuild the gates of the temple’s fortress, the city wall, and the home where I will live.” The king granted my requests, for I was graciously strengthened by my God.’ Nehemiah 2:7, 8

Do you have any needs today DearOne?! Yep. Have you been aggressive enough to ask? Just ask. Ask and It Is Given. Ask and you shall receive. Good things come to those who…ask.
Agreed.
Emphatically.
Ask and keep asking.
Ask God Almighty, your mom, your teacher, bus driver, buddy, pal, boss, salesman … ask for what you want. And, keep on asking.
But, if you want to increase your odds, use Nehemiah’s formula:
1) he said a quick prayer
2) he asked with style, Darlingheart!
The formula for stylin’ askin’ comes down to this: sincerity + specific = intelligence.
Ask away.
