December 31, 2012 newness

I love New Years Eve. There is something about the looming freshness of the new year lying fully open and ready – as we wrap into God’s arms and move forward into yet another segment of His plans for our earth journey; it is both exciting and mysterious.
Peaks my curiosity.
There are always parts of the year I am leaving behind that I won’t soon forget. And, mistakes I’ll be glad to kick dirt on with my back legs as I scamper away.
Time to leave some things in the dust.
Time to reboot to clear some yuck.
Time to place my trust once more. Father God hasn’t given up on me yet. He will guide me and you through 2013 too.

‘Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.’ (Jeremiah 33:3 ESV)

December 30, 2012 desperate

The news reports a broken world.
Desperate politics.
Desperate people.
Desperate families.
Desperate hearts.
Sweetheart, God is still in control.
He is in full control.
His Spirit is alive and active at this moment, throughout this day – moving on your behalf. Yes, He is.
He still assigned your strengths, your skills, your talents, your words, your actions to be used for Him. Trust Him as He puts you together again DearOne. Be bold as you say “yes” to being used up for His Glory.

‘ God plays no favorites! It makes no difference who you are or where you’re from—if you want God and are ready to do as he says, the door is open. The Message he sent to the children of Israel—that through Jesus Christ everything is being put together again—well, he’s doing it everywhere, among everyone.’ (Acts 10:34-36 MSG)

Where is your peace meter today SweetSoul?
What are you afraid of?
What scares you to death?

We spend a whole lot of energy worrying about things that will never happen. Think about it – even if what you fear does happen, will you still trust Father God?
Will you still love Him?
If so, then use your time and your strength
in sharing Him,
in loving Him,
in living Him.
… And, then your soul looks up from the dark and kinda says, “oh, there You are. I’ve been looking for You.”

‘You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you,
all whose thoughts are fixed on you!
Trust in the Lord always,
for the Lord God is the eternal Rock.’ (Isaiah 26:3, 4 NLT)

December 28, 2012 bullies

Some old beliefs need to go.
Here is the deal:
Peace does not involve two people. It only involves one – you…with the Holy Spirit. It begins and ends there. That’s all.

Quit blaming your past.

Stop blaming your baggage.

Leave the words of the badgering bullies behind.

Let go of all that – free yourself to love fully.

God’s hand shades you.

‘God, you are my God. I celebrate you. I praise you. You’ve done your share of miracle-wonders, well-thought-out plans, solid and sure. Here you’ve reduced the city to rubble, the strong city to a pile of stones. The enemy Big City is a non-city, never to be a city again. Superpowers will see it and honor you, brutal oppressors bow in worshipful reverence. They’ll see that you take care of the poor, that you take care of poor people in trouble, Provide a warm, dry place in bad weather, provide a cool place when it’s hot. Brutal oppressors are like a winter blizzard and vicious foreigners like high noon in the desert. But you, shelter from the storm and shade from the sun, shut the mouths of the big-mouthed bullies.’ (Isaiah 25:1-5 MSG)

December 27, 2012 takers

We often, very often, allow the attitude and mindset of others to hurt our feelings. We blame their hard-heart, their “issues”, their selfishness.
Sweetheart, do not give in to that. Those thoughts are the work of the enemy. Most likely their behavior has nothing to do with anything your mind can grasp and everything to do with their own “stuff”. You and I have our own stuff to deal with. We will entertain givers among us and takers as long as we walk this earth. This belongs to them. Leave it there.
Focus in. You are the Beloved of the God of the Angel Armies. The raw truth: God is dealing with them. God is dealing with you. Let go. Love anyway.

‘Do you realize where you are? You’re in a cosmos star-flung with constellations by God, A world God wakes up each morning and puts to bed each night. God dips water from the ocean and gives the land a drink. God, God-revealed, does all this.’ (Amos 5:7-9 MSG)

Shepherds.

Angels.

Stars.

Take the Heaven focused road DearOne.
When you’re hurting, do not wallow in limited understanding. What if you knew that you were right where you belong? Knew that you are not being held back, but indeed you are right on track in your life? How would that outlook give you strength? Use the aid of Divine, God-given faith. This “walking stick” will help you with your next step. And the next,
and the next.
He will give you the stamina to change your world.
Divine faith -It will help you soar.
It is truth.
It worked for the shepherds.
“It’s who you are and the way you live that count before God. Your worship must engage your spirit in the pursuit of truth. That’s the kind of people the Father is out looking for: those who are simply and honestly themselves before him in their worship. God is sheer being itself—Spirit. Those who worship him must do it out of their very being, their spirits, their true selves, in adoration.” (John 4:24 MSG)

Advent/tree gear: blanket/towel, tree skirt (swaddling clothes)

‘She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.’ (Matthew 1:21 ESV)

All eyes are on You, Lord.
All eyes are on You.

Merry Christmas Dearheart!

Advent/tree gear: open bible

‘Then Joseph, being aroused from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord commanded him and took to him his wife, and did not know her till she had brought forth her firstborn Son. And he called His name Jesus .’ (Matthew 1:24, 25 NKJV)

Read the story again SweetSoul, Luke chapter 2.
Slowly.
This one has it all.
Major life decisions based on dreams and angel visits.
Lowly shepherds.
Majestic kings.
Donkeys.
Camels.
Suspense of finding a certain baby in a crowded city.
Read Matthew 2.
No matter how many times you read it, you will discover something new DearOne…that is the very nature of God’s word. His voice compels us to see something new and fresh about our Lord and our relationship with Him with each reading.
Mysterious.
Miraculous.
Exotic.
Urgent.
Delight in this story Beloved. It was written specifically for you.

Advent/tree gear: a watch (time passages)

Thinking of the year’s changes in the lives of my people … your people; God’s beloved ones.
Home family.
Friend family.
Worship family.
School family.
Work family.
Hmmmm.
Joseph. Mary. The baby.
A family … a world created by love.
A blessing. A wild blessing.
That seems to reshape itself with every journey back home.
Same fibers.
Different shapes.
Same core.
Different view.
Returning to our roots.
To be counted.
Giving nod to time’s passage. . .
and carving time to stir laced souls.
Our bloodlines hold.
They laugh together.
They grieve together.
They joy together.
They cry together.
They love.
Feel it all the way to your toes SweetSoul –
The traditions we hold to.
The love we give over to the blessing of hope.

A rush pours through – ahh, thank you Jesus.
Thank you.
Thank you.

‘And Jacob begot Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus who is called Christ. So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations, from David until the captivity in Babylon are fourteen generations, and from the captivity in Babylon until the Christ are fourteen generations.’ (Matthew 1:16, 17 NKJV)
