Very few people had the resume David had:

Some knew him as a shepherd.

Monarch

Soldier

Songwriter

Worshiper

King

Songwriter

Musician

Champion

Friend

David started very small. In the shadows, almost forgotten. 

He had very high highs. And, very low lows.

His anchor was: ‘the Lord was with him”.

No matter what. 

God will just be on whomever He chooses. And, whenever He decides to raise you up, nobody can keep you down. 

Like you and me, David just got up on ordinary mornings. He set out, just like we do – no angelic visitations, lightening did not flash, thunder did not roll. The sun just rose ordinary like it always does. At the first glimmer of daylight, David jumped up out of bed on a mission to care for the sheep. As the morning moved, he found himself consumed with his daily duties such as strengthening those who were week, and healing those that were wounded, and, binding up those who were broken, and seeking out that one lone sheep that had wandered away. In the middle of his ordinary – God had a very specific plan for His child. 

Then, there was a day, that a messenger showed up in the sheep field, and said, “David, Samuel’s at your dad’s place, and he wont rest until he sees you.” 

“Who, me?”

And, when David went to Samuel, the oil flowed, David was the anointed and then he went right back to the ordinary mornings of the sheep field. 

Why? Because, just like you, God chose Him. God chose the growth plan and the time. And, it wasn’t time yet. 

Stay the course, DearOne. God’s ways are right. Your opportunity is coming. 

“And then GOD answered: “Write this. Write what you see. Write it out in big block letters so that it can be read on the run. This vision-message is a witness pointing to what’s coming. It aches for the coming—it can hardly wait! And it doesn’t lie. If it seems slow in coming, wait. It’s on its way. It will come right on time.” Habakkuk‬ ‭2:2-3‬ ‭MSG‬‬

Good morning, God’s Child. 

Have you ever wondered how the mere presence of the Holy Spirit in us doesn’t shatter our frame? He is bigger than our thoughts can imagine. And, He is ours for the taking. Mmm. 

I struggle at times with feelings of worthlessness. Which is ironic to me, knowing full-well who I am in Christ. And, who He is. Yet, man-made markers and rewards put a price on our heads – 

‘very good, you are worth this much’, 

‘your value means this __ to us, but, you, there, well, let’s see … you’re worth zero.’ 

And, from those man-made criteria we begin to believe we are a zero. Because, energy follows thought. 

When that happens, here is where to take that energy … when evidence comes your way, especially from those in authority over you, that they think you are sub-par, that you are a zero, take it straight to your Creator. (gosh, I’m crying my eyes out this morn). 

In His goodness, a positive seed is sown: not a lollipop-pops and roses positivity, but a deep positivity that alleviates suffering – the kind of compassion that is salve for our health because it is a form of kindness … and His being and His Word settles back in on us in the form of FAITH, “Ang, you’ll be okay, no matter what happens. I have a greater place for you.”

And, you know from this place you get clear on the situation, you know it’s time to take action. This is the place He walks with you into solution-thinking. When you choose to walk with Him, you move – not just plain old ordinary move, but the Holy-shift, “I should’ve thought just a little bit bigger” kind of move. 

The Ultimate Authority has your back, Beloved. Walk right there. 

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.” Jeremiah‬ ‭29:11-13‬ ‭NLT‬‬
Wake up. 

Grab His hand. 

Be led to solutions. 

Hang on for the ride.

Good morning, DearOne. 

Over the summer, something shifted in me. I asked for it. “God, where are You in me? Come back to life here in me so I know You deeper that ever.” 

He responds when we ask. 

He is responding right now – moving on your behalf on the things you have requested for your good. 

God has anointed us with the Holy Spirit for a reason: so that impossible situations will bow the knee to Jesus. All too often, we totally underestimate what God wants to do for us. 

Jesus gave us authority over demons, sickness, disease and darkness so we could bring His reality to earth right now. And you know what? I’ve only been at this really big-bizarre-radical praying for a little over a month, but I’m already seeing radical answers. (Who would’ve thought my son would receive a call like that? or, one of girls would be daily performing on that level? God, thank You-keep with me in pouring crazy-unfathomable love and Your stamina into them. Give them Your victory through Your authority there). 

I claimed the promise from Psalm 91:15, and God has been honoring me. It feels weird and strange and undeserved, but God said He wanted to do it, and He is…

…and I like it. (Thank You, Father.)

I’ve claimed His promise to “answer me and show me great and mighty things that I don’t know.” Jeremiah 33:3 – and boy, has He ever. Things I could never have imagined to pray for have been popping out of the woodwork. (Thank You, Father – that’s all You!)

So. what kind of radical have you been sitting on? What are you waiting for God Almighty to do in your life? Have you asked? Have you asked out loud, with authority, and told satan that he’s been bounced out of your situation? That he is the enemy and has no jurisdiction here?

What are you believing God for? What do you need to start praying radical prayers about? Could it be:

* Your finances?

* Your job?

* Opportunity or promotion?

* Favor with specific people?

* Honor?

* Vindication from false accusations?

* Healing of relationships?

* Reversal of an unjust situation?  

Ask your Maker to arrive in all the places that are not well in your life – be right there where the wounded place is – where it is ugly and uncomfortable. 

Be hurt. 

And, furious. 

And, weak. 

Sit in the loss and the trial that has worn you down. 

Know that there is some serious training going on in you. The flames that are scarring you, are the flames that the Holy Spirit is using to purify and lift you out – because you had the guts to whisper out loud to ask Him to show up. You’re peering under the smoke and allowing yourself to see what He’s really moving in your behalf. 

Yes, He is moving. 

He is really moving on your behalf. 
Wake up. 

Ask for it. 

Trust His ways.

Good mornin’, Child of Light!

With whom did you share a Christ moment yesterday? At what point did you bring Him into the circles of your conversations? When His name is mentioned, have you noticed how 

the mood, 

and the energy, 

and the thought life, 

and the level of hope suddenly changes? 

That place right there, where you spoke His name became power. Became powerful. You did that by choosing to speak life … when you speak His name, you speak Life. You, DearOne are chosen. You are His priesthood. 

“But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.” 1 Peter‬ ‭2:9‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Now that you know who you are – speak Him into every talk. Others need Him in every thread of our minutes as much as you and I do. 

You are the light upon the darkness. 

You are the city on a hill. 

As His, you are qualified and competent to speak up and speak of the riches of being a child of the Most High. 

And, here is what happens, when others catch a wave of the Holy from you, they want more of Him. When your voice says His name, you’ve called Him into your talk, and, He moves His work and His ways from there. There is plenty of Him to overflow from each of us. And, the Holy becomes like wildfire … from your mention of His name, a profound all-moving wave begins. 

It starts with you and me accepting Who He is, and who we are in Him. You and I must think just a little bit bigger. There is no gossamer veil between the “daily you” and who He says you are. 

Priest. 

His priest. 

Royal priesthood. 

He’s talking to you, about you. 

You are important. 

With full rights. 

More than adequate. 

Substantial. 

Worthy. 

Powerful. 

You are a blessing. 
Wake up. 

Speak His name to everyone.

Good morning, DeaeOne,

You know, the daily practice of quiet time with our Creator is like little league drills or practicing the piano or casting a fishing pole. 

It requires discipline. 

Sometimes, it is tedious work. 

It is necessary. 

The Holy Spirit indwelling your life and my life is necessary. 

It is here, in practice, you become more skilled at the art form of opening yourself up to receive His relentless. relentless. relentless mercy. 

You don’t practice to be a great little league drill specialist or a great piano practicer, you practice to become a skilled athlete or a musician … skilled at the art form itself. 

Likewise, it is in the regular practice of showing up 

in praise, 

in worship, 

in prayer,

that the King of the world welcomes His child in. 

Here, He slathers us with His grace. 

Here, He mesmerizes us with His Light. 

Here, He increases our capacity to trust Him by receiving His radiance in our human-skin-turmoil, and transmitting His glory into a daily world that is desperate to receive Him. 

Like everything else, it’s all about the practice of showing up. 

“So let God work his will in you. Yell a loud no to the Devil and watch him scamper. Say a quiet yes to God and he’ll be there in no time. Quit dabbling in sin. Purify your inner life. Quit playing the field. Hit bottom, and cry your eyes out. The fun and games are over. Get serious, really serious. Get down on your knees before the Master; it’s the only way you’ll get on your feet.” James‬ ‭4:7-10‬ ‭MSG‬‬
Wake up. 

Show up. Get serious.

God, You are God. 

Let us just sit on that a moment. We adore You – that we should be the apple of Your eye blows my mind. You are for us. You are for our children – they belong to You. Lord, we ask that You would halt the plans of the enemy over these we love as we bring them before You right now.  We pray that his schemes be demolished and that Your plans for good, for a future and hope, would prevail. Would You open blind eyes that they might see Your Truth? See Your hand moving for them?

Would You rescue those walking in darkness, and heal the deep wounds of those who’ve been hurt? 

We pray for the miraculous intervention of Your Spirit to draw them to Yourself, to work strong on behalf of our loved ones who are wandering. 

For You came with good news, 

And, promise … to heal the brokenhearted, 

to proclaim freedom for captives 

and, release for the prisoners. 

Though we deserved penalty for our wrong, You stood in our place and took the blows on our behalf.  You choose to die, so that we can live. Forever and free.

Lord, forgive our unbelief.  Forgive the times we’ve doubted that You could ever change a heart.  Forgive our 

hard-heartedness, 

our weariness, 

or forgetfulness to “pray continually.” 

Thank You that You never give up on us. Remind us of how You’ve changed our own hearts. (Oh, yes Thank You!) How Your miracle of life and hope has sprung up deep within our souls. 

We love You, Lord, 

we need You, 

and we thank You that You hear our prayers and are at work even now. 

Powerfully. 

Faithfully. 

Miraculously. 

Thank You for the gift of our Savior, God with us. Thank You for Your goodness and love. 

In the precious name of Jesus, Amen.

Hello, DearOne,

Walking with our Savior is a daily, hourly, moment by moment choice. It means we will have seasons … 

days unending … 

facing head-on, 

unexplainable mysteries of a human world filled with finding ourselves in places we never thought we’d land.

Life is curious like that. 

But, those unplanned places steer us into new territories of the soul. I suppose it is by steering through life’s “where did this even come from” places that we learn to practice an awareness of the Creator’s attention to the details in our lives. I suppose, too, that without navigating the dangers of our own hours, we would never learn compassion.
We have friends dealing with broken hearts and the deepest of life’s heartbreaks,

dealing with all reaches of despair,

dealing with life’s daily, ordinary mysteries. 

Everyone, it seems, is in battle.
In the end, this is the way of the cross, isn’t it? Our lives so parallel. Living our days out in a certain impenetrable mystery … lingering in suffering we cannot change … on our tiptoes awaiting a Hand-of-God resurrection we are not yet able to see. 

Think about it, in the cross … we see a world of our own suffering as it is churning grief in God’s own heart. His response is bold. He yields a suffering love in return. A journey through the “whaaaaat?” places brings me to feel the crush of the cross … it is to be shocked again and again by the depth and the mystery of God’s own wild compassion, whereby we are raised from the dead from our crushed place. 

Victory is coming.

He is working. 

When God is for you, who can be against you? (Rom 8:31)

No, not one. 

Wake up.
Embrace His mysteries with full confidence.

Good morning, BlessedOne. 

Forgiveness matters. 

The enemy wants us to flail around in bitterness and hurt – he uses every tool in his arsenal to keep us bound up in offense. The devil is the one calculating this demise and inflicting whatever hurt he can muster. 

Here’s the God-given remedy to the road to our restoration. Start with a blessing. 

Bless them. 

Bless the pain process that has surfaced. 

Bless yourself as the one who is hurting. 

Bless the experience, DearOne. 

Bless all who have witnessed the pain, and know they have suffered, too. 

We have been given the right emotional tools, in this right place, at this right time to heal and to experience God’s mastery over impossible situations. Know that hurt only happens to give us hope, a new way to see His presence in our lives rather than giving up. A simple prayer blessing everything about the person and the ordeal is the place to start applying the wisdom learned in the process. 

Tenderhearted mercy. 

Kindness. 

Humility. 

Patience. 

Gentleness. 

Allowance. 

Wisdom. Wisdom. Wisdom. 

Wake up. 

Bless them. 

Bless the process. 

Bless your growth.

Good morning, Friend. 

My people are on my mind this morn. Spent last week in intense personality profile training – focusing on the power of good people coming together. Specifically, the power of those who invest their time and energy in waving warm power and encouragement over our strengths and who shore up each other’s not so strong traits. Being with real people who exalt and endorse and even question our gifts is a must to keep the gifts from freezing up. Nurturing and growing come from a round of voices from both within and without that notice the state of our gift. God placed us with our people for very specific reasons. The orchestra voices in the heavenlies all around nod to the state of gift-holder’s being to encourage, support, applaud and sometimes to give it comfort.

I don’t know how many friends one soul needs, but certainly, one or two that think your gift is the bread of heaven are a must. When we squelch each other, because of our differences, we squelch a part of our own heart. DearOne, each of us is deserving of a hallelujah chorus – and the right friends deliver in the right place at the right time!

What will you deliver today?

Good morning, SealedOne. 

Imagine your heart and your soul and your insides being completely invaded by the Spirit of the Living God. Now, see yourself crawl into an envelope and the hands of God close the flap of the envelope as He licks the flap and seals you in. 

You are sealed. 

Your Creator not only formed you as an individual masterpiece for His purpose, but His desire is also to invade you, and envelop you. You are sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, Beloved. Being sealed, now He delivers you out of one place …

out of chaos,

out of bondage,

out of addiction,

and into another – into His place of JOY! 

Not only does He deliver, but notice that He protects you all along the journey until you get to the final destination. That is what the Holy Spirit wants to do to you. Why would anyone shy away from that? 

Wake up. 

Be invaded by the Holy Spirit. 

Be enveloped by the Holy Spirit. 

Be protected by The Holy Spirit. 

He’s yours for the taking.
