“So I say to you, keep asking, and it will be given to you. Keep searching, and you will find. Keep knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who searches finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” Luke 11:9-10 HCSB
Hello, PrayerWarrior,
Has your prayer-life ever undergone a make-over? I just realized that mine has. It has taken on such a different form over the years as I have allowed the Holy to ever-increasingly be my designer.
Here’s the tweak … I hardly ever pray “for” something to happen/not happen. I ask and keep asking as if God’s will has, or as if it is in the process happening already.
As I release more and more of the uncontrollables in my life over to God Most High, He has engaged every sense in me to communicate with Him, trust His ways, allow His timing.
Our Creator set we humans apart from all other life forms. He gave us special powers, “super-powers” of:
thought,
feeling,
and emotion
in addition to physical smell, sight, taste, and touch.
Instead of just asking “for” something we have the capacity to design in our mind what it “feels” like when the event will occur.
God allows me to feel it when I ask, and move straight into giving thanks and being filled with gratefulness for what He, the Master Designer, has planned and is delivering. By giving Him thanks, I am honoring all opportunities He is sending from which He and I can choose.
Try it. Instead of going in all whipped and needy, ask while entering His presence in full gratitude of what He is already accomplishing – trusting His control and guidance.
You have history with Him, right? He already knew you were going to be asking and so He started working the plan long before you even knew you’d have the need anyway. He hasn’t let us down yet. You can trust Him here, too. Feel Him in your bones. Go for it!
Wake up.
Enter with gratitude.
Go.
