“Call to Me and I will answer you and tell you great and incomprehensible things you do not know.” ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭33:3‬ ‭HCSB‬‬

Good morning, GraciousOne,

Your Creator, the One who knows the hairs on your head, He has primed your heart and my heart to hear from Him.

Bow low in expectation.

Bend with eager anticipation.

His words will fill you as you take the posture of gratitude. Your mind stills to calm as you control your heart and mind to hear Him. He knows your road’s rough places. He hears the smooth places in the voice of your praise.

Sweet times of prayer are the inventor of new holy places – prayer is the very breath of our spiritual life. Will you choose to allow the space? Gratitude grows when you allow a fresh line for His great and mighty wisdom to soulfully call into you. Allow His wisdom to fall … yes, my Lord, come.

Wake up.

Feel His breath pour in.

Oh, the grace that gratitude brings! Mmm

Go.

“Long ago the LORD said to Israel: “I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself.” Jeremiah‬ ‭31:3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Good morning, brothers and sisters,

Weeks like this we remember the fantastic gift God has given us called: family.

Through family, God grants more than we need, so much more than we could even know to ask for. He forms us through them, sustains us and provides for us. He reveals Himself to us through them, so we learn of His character, and we learn of His character’s contrast. As the best mom and dad are to their children, even more is our God to his chosen ones. Through extended family, friends who welcome us in as their own, we learn what it means to be made adopted in and we can then accept being adopted into the Kingdom family through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Our Savior. My Lord.

It is through the family experience that God comes to us in the rhythms of daily monotony. He shows his wonders through the experience of life –

meals and prayers,

sleep and work,

rest and play,

births and deaths,

anniversaries and parties,

and memories.

The hospitality of the family that welcomes children into its midst mirrors the hospitality of the church that welcomes new members into its life and worship. New life. Endless lineage of Yahweh.

There really is no end to what family is – to the wonderful mystery God has given us in the blessing of our people.

Family is not normal. We are not entitled to them at all. There is no gift too small or routine for which we ought not to be extravagantly grateful. Every single brush we are reminded that we are not abandoned or alone. And, we are ever more thankful. Thank God and our families for such unique and caring graces – that we might be a part of such a mystery that we often assume is ‘ordinary’.

No family is average. Neither is the God we serve. And, we ponder carefully the magnitude and generosity of both.

Wake up. Feel family love, near or far. Go.

I always thank my God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 1:4

Good morn’, Thankfulheart, and hello, gratefulness, my old friend.

Have you started your list yet? Not the grocery one, or the Christmas one, but the

“Dear God, thank you for . . . “ yeah, that one.

I did. And, it felt so good that I kept it up. Took it with me. Keep adding to it.

Cool weather.

Colored leaves.

Thanksgiving.

Christ.

Oklahoma.

Online banking.

Indoor plumbing.

Voices of reason.

My loves.

Salvation.

Iphone.

Banana pudding.

Ankle boots.

Eternity.

Google.

Salvation Army bell ringers.

The Maker loves to hear our thanks. He never tires of listening to our tumbling thanks for the beautiful basics . . . my people, my friends, my home, my heart, my work, my opportunities. He also adores adoration when we track within far enough to thank Him for our messes. Even when the emotions detour and mire our mindset, by tapping into the power of thanking God Most High in the middle of the muddle reveals an entire magical model of dealing with and healing from rage set in by the enemy. Gratefulness seeks out the Prince of Peace and His calming forces are released. The Almighty guides us into the challenges of going right in to our deeply scarred psyche territory. He takes us to places we’ve not sited in before. He sets us in motion of putting the old obsessive thought s and feelings behind, switches them to reset, calms restless spirits. He replaces them with the Holy.

He returns us to kindness and by doing so we experience the roaring side of compassion in us. Thankfulness brings the wisdom and knowledge of God Most High down to dwell. In calling down “thanks”, during our real hours, He teaches us that healing comes during the process of questioning and hearing, and setting pain into a kindness-bathed light.

By our thanks, a revolution rolls in. Our Creator replaces every negative, every nasty, every jab, every pain, every hurt with fresh understanding.

The steps you took to climb the mountain, the steps you took to capture the trust, what you saw, what you heard in the process, what you felt – new meaning comes, real and endlessly full of His light.

Wake up.

Start the list.

Take it with you.

Go.

“Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God.” ‭‭1 John‬ ‭4:7‬ ‭NLT‬‬
Good morning, Purpose-FilledOne,

What expands your reason to keep on keeping on?

My dad used to teach my youth Sunday School class at Bethel. One of his common, go-to directives to us …. over and over and over (think soap-box, broken-record) … (you ain’t heard a soap-box til you hear a Verle A. Coon soap box!) was: “give until it hurts, then give just a little bit more”!

Misery and sadness shrink the heart, shuts down brain cells, and slowly and painfully detach you from the world of the Holy. You will move deeply into your soul-story when you refuse to pollute your mind with other people’s choices, and allow the Light of the Savior of the World to cleanse every dark thought.

His light cleanses. Let Him in.

When it all comes down, you and I yearn to love and be loved. So, how about releasing the dark thoughts about those who have hurt you, tormented you, used you, lied about you, attacked you … RELEASE … and, allow room for their story to be replaced with fresh loves. Loves whose hearts are open to accept the Father’s love. Holding on is a choice. Release is also a choice.

Let the Word of God move you. Let His Spirit soar into all the crevices and cavities where hurt and pain linger, and find love on His terms – by giving love first.

Give love away.

Find one who needs to see the hope of the Great Healer today – it won’t be hard. Hope-hungry souls are all around us. Shed light from His love in their direction. Your healing comes from giving His love away … until it hurts … then just a little bit more.

 Wake up.

Give love away.

Go.

“Jesus Christ rescued us from this evil world we’re in by offering himself as a sacrifice for our sins. God’s plan is that we all experience that rescue. Glory to God forever! Oh, yes!” Galatians‬ ‭1:4-5‬ ‭MSG‬‬

Embrace the presence of the Holy, DearOne.

Are you ready to STOP getting hurt or disappointed by people? Then, take some time and examine the sad sob-story you tell yourself about them … drop the stinkin’ thinkin’ of what they may think of you, or even what they might be thinking period.

It’s a lie that they don’t care about you until you know for final certain. And, that’s God’s business. They control their thoughts and actions. You control yours. The truth is this: The Creator of the Universe, the One that knit you together in your mother’s womb, knit them, too. And, HE is doing a work in them that has nothing to do with you at all. You’re a simple side-prop in the play, positioned by The Most High to bring about a turn of events, but the real deal is that God is dealing with them in their own right. Even though it may seem – in your mind -like you are a kingpin in their story – their saga is theirs.

He is also dealing with you. And, your legend is yours.

So, move on. When a loved one lets you down, praise your Maker for the advancement He is bringing to your fiber. Give Him Holy applause for the honor He is bringing to His Holy story in both of you. Let His grit become your grit. Thank Him that who you are in Him is the only thing that counts. Glory!

Stay in constant prayer for greater growth in Christ to be taking place for every single champ of the plot.

Wake up.

Be Holy-grit-moved.

Go.

PS-Holy Grit would be a fantastic book title. Dibs. Bingo. There ya go. This is starting out to be a glorious day!

“Just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭6:4‬ ‭NLT‬‬

So, DearHeart, what will you do with the Power of the Spirit in you today?

Too often, we spend our time giving our power away instead of giving it all over to the Holy of Holies to well up and use for His glory.

His power for you resides

-in you-

-for you-

When you have crazy expectations of others, you’re getting out of His Power zone in you. Just think about it a sec, all expectations for other people to zone in and meet our needs are crazy. And, it’s crazy for you to think you must always meet theirs.

DearHeart, stepping back and allowing your chickees to grow their own trust story in God Most High is one of the greatest learning curves of life. How are they ever going to grasp the bigness of YOUR faith in your Creator if you keep stepping in and taking over in the middle of their creek?

It is easy to blame the whole bloody world for our sadness, or state of affairs, or past bad decisions . . . it’s not a good-for-you kind of easy, but it is easy. Peace or misery, when it all boils down, depends on the ability to embrace His newness in you. And, embracing Him entirely only comes from learning one on one reliance on Him when the waters start to rise.

Wake up.

Allow the Holy to a be the Lifeline. Theirs and yours.

Go.

“But I trust in You, Lord; I say, “You are my God.” The course of my life is in Your power;‭‭” Psalm 31:14-15‬ ‭HCSB‬‬

Good morning, TrustingHeart,

Placing our hours in the palm of the Master’s hand is perhaps the greatest daily pacesetter you can offer. His peace is the gift when you sow Him in like sacred thread. Begin:

1) Father, I choose to make wise, Spirit-led decisions today. Be my wisdom.

2) I thank you for my breath and good health – fill every cell with Your Holiness.

3) Send all the information into my presence to continue making God-tuned decisions over any challenges that arise.

4) You have given me the knowledge, tools, and the experience to weave peace into this day.

5) You appear in the glances and the brush-strokes of the people I pass – open my eyes to see You there.

6) Your presence makes my heart smile. Oh, the pure joy that Your presence brings!

7) I am filled with gratitude and kindness for another day on this earth.

Thank you, Jesus.

Wake up.

Claim it.

“This will be your sign from GOD,” said Isaiah, “that GOD is doing what he said he’d do: Do you want the shadow to advance ten degrees on the sundial or go back ten degrees? You choose.”

‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭20:9‬ ‭MSG‬‬

Good morning, ReceivingHeart,

Mornings are special. Intentional. In the Word. Habitually receiving His reality. The voice of the Creator of the Universe setting in the fantastic reality of His guidance. Every day.

He placed you and me here to be electric … to be alive in Him. Take note of the ridiculously beautiful things that are in your life right now. You get to choose your thoughts. Let them be God-sized and God-filled … because He is the Holy magnet of your peace and prosperity. Others may try to use your faith against you – they are not The Most High. They have no control over your eternity, DearOne. Keep your focus and your intentions dialed in on the God of your destiny. Choose the deepest reverence and feel with your heart His blessings washing in all around you. God Almighty is doing in you what He said He would do! GLORY!

Wake up.

Be electric.

“Remember this, my dear brothers and sisters! Everyone must be quick to listen, but slow to speak and slow to become angry. Human anger does not achieve God’s righteous purpose.” James‬ ‭1:19-20‬ ‭GNB‬‬

Good morning GentleHeart,

Does anger drive your life?

Mismanaged anger is dangerous. It causes wrecks, drives people away, and destroys the ability to be at peace.

Anger is the quick and easy response. Unchecked, it takes over in a heartbeat.

And, it is a teacher. There is a difference in carrying it around for a lifetime and bleeding it out into the generations that follow, or stirring it around with a stick to see what growth and healing can come from it.

Grow or die? Every day we are doing one or the other. God Most High, as our Master teacher, is our miracle worker. And, His expectation is that we be a worker towards healing for others. Christ got angry … always with the right person, to the right measure, for a right purpose, in a right way – to bring growth and healing.

Growth occurs the instant light breaks through and we gain a new insight.

Yesterday is overrated and gone. From here forward is the only thing we’ve got. The only painful events that truly matter are the ones we nurture and carry with us.

Life hurts when we get hit by something unexpected. It hurts when we blame other for our bad choices. It hurts when bad things happen.

Christ’s wisdom for you and me is simple-forward momentum for today is to get over it and move on.

Wake up.

Move on.

“This is why I left you in Crete, so that you might put what remained into order, and appoint elders in every town as I directed you—” Titus‬ ‭1:5‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Good morning, PlacedOne,

Surely, I’ve made a huge mistake. What have I done? God, why am I here?

Ever ask yourself this one? Yeah, me too.

I wonder how common, how often, our men and women in service ask?

DearHeart, this place where you are right now, God circled it on a map for you. He established it. He purposed this point. Here is why it is important to know that: you have been placed here to show them the kind of character Christ creates through faith in Him.

You = show them Christ.

Titus had this panic attack. You can almost hear him ask Paul, “What? Wait. Why am I here? This is not an ‘appropriate’ village. The Cretans are a miserable lot, gypsies, tramps, and thieves. Foulmouthed drunkards and gamblers. I don’t belong. Etc, etc. . . we can only imagine the rest.

And, in Paul’s letter, came the answer, “This is why I left you in Crete, so that you might put what remained into order” (Titus 1:5).

One of the sweetest voices you will ever hear is the voice of a healing answer. You have been called to be His light here. As a bonus, when I am in this “what am I doing here” state, I always get surprised by the saints who have been detoured by the Most High to share this place, too. One appears, every time, who sharpens me like a whet rock. You may just find, that in this place, there will be another who may become a spiritual giant to you, who teaches you a thing or two of how to answer, unruffled and patient when provoked.

So, call all His power back to you now. Sing His love songs through the Holy in you. Hear kindness in the voices of the faithful – voices kindly kindling new sparks amid the chatter of the lost.

Quest to the deepest peace, hear a confirming crescendo of the voice of the Almighty.

Mm. Yes, Lord. Keep me here… in this place, where you need me. As long as You stay, I’ll stay.

Wake up. Bring order. Go.
