Good FRIDAY(!) morning, DearHeart.
Earlier this week I had the opportunity to remind one of my precious loves that the battle was not with the one they thought was against them … the battle is against spiritual powers.
When God gives me the opening to share His truths with another I always need to be reminded of that truth, too. Amazing how that works.
You also need to be reminded that the devil has already been defeated! The victory is won. So keep your eyes and focus on Jesus and not on the enemy.
Ephesians 6:10–12 says, “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”
We stand strong in the Lord’s power. God’s armor protects us.
Even when a wild scheme against us appears from out of the wild blue. We know what to do – we position ourselves to rely on God’s power, not our own. We put on the whole armor of God. We draw on the power of Scripture—the Word of God is the Spirit’s sword. We pray in perseverance and holiness, making our appeal to God.
Stand firm (Ephesians 6:13–14). Submit to God. Resist the devil’s work The Lord of hosts is your protector. “Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken” (Psalm 62:2).
Wake up.
Walk in the power of your Protection.
Do not be shaken.
Go.
