Good morning, DearHeart.
Dale and I are going through a new season. I thought empty nesting would be like the honeymoon years all over again. But, we know far too much about us, are far too invested in us, and know that this stripping away feeling will pass and finding our legs again will come. And, we’ve been through worse together, so he knows to just stay close. I didn’t think I’d be one of those moms that the slower pace and quiet rooms would get too me. There’ve been times in the past few years that I actually looked forward to having our own schedules.
Ha. Oops.
What was I thinking?
Idiot-girl.
But, every experience of a stripping away we’ve weathered has landed us in a new place. A more trusting place where we again know that God’s ways are right.
And, we believe boldly, with full faith, that God has a plan.
There are times when, like Job, He may allow a series of difficult days to happen in your life to get you through to His new place for you.
There may be times He sends a giant for you to kill like He did for David, so you can become king. He’s ready to promote you so you can see more of Him, but sometimes there has to be a dying first.
But the truth of God’s Word is this:
Even if you have to endure a painful season, God will work it out for your good and use it for His Kingdom. You are a powerful weapon, with a powerful purpose for Him. And, He will reveal more of His GLORY to you in the process.
Therefore, there’s no reason to fear; even the hardest things will elevate you to a new level in Christ and bring you further into your destiny. It’s true, every time, because He promised.
Wake up.
Stay faithful in the new place.
God’s got a plan.
Go.
