‘Then David said to his son Solomon, “Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Don’t be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord God, my God, is with you. He won’t leave you or forsake you.’ 1 Chronicles 28:20 Good morning, DearOne. When we pull into the drive after being away my heart-agenda shifts. A different kind of calm sets in. And, a different urgency. Here is where my highest calling stays in motion. Is your agenda a calm vs urgency, too? Perhaps they work together – Listen. When your agenda shifts and you’re suddenly pulled into the breath of a windstorm – can you hear calm in the Voice of Holy Thunder in the distance? Three are times the job seems agonizing and the work too huge for someone like you. You do not know why, but you are back again, at that place that calls for your help, your hands, your feet, your heart — for the rest of your life. Your bones whisper with His Spirit. You know how He moves. We’ve learned to take our spiritual understandings with both, a dose of serious and a dose of good humor – that He would assign someone like you or me to such a task. Ha. That He would gift us in such a way as to do this work. Really? Yes, really. He has. He did. He expects. And, strong grace is your gift as you work in light of the guidance of your Creator. Wake up. Notice calm in the urgent. Go.
