Good morning, God’s Child.
Drawing near to the Most High requires effort.
Intentional.
A date.
A set time and place where He welcomes us in and spills out more of Him.
Setting a time and place sounds so simple, doesn’t it?
So straightforward.
So matter of fact.
But, it isn’t so easy – our nutty lives are filled – overfilled with work and family and relationships … messy relationships, and children and money and cars and school and shopping and cooking and cleaning and sleeping. There’s already not enough time to squeeze everything in.
Here’s the answer: you decide what’s important and what can wait for 15 minutes. You decide if you want to speak to The God Who Loves You, or not. You get to decide if you want His guidance, His ways in your days, or not.
And, when you rebel long enough He will get your attention, and you will find yourself on your knees. One way or another, you will find that your only choice is to decide to show up in His presence.
His ways are right.
“The people I love, I call to account—prod and correct and guide so that they’ll live at their best. Up on your feet, then! About face! Run after God! “Look at me. I stand at the door. I knock. If you hear me call and open the door, I’ll come right in and sit down to supper with you. Conquerors will sit alongside me at the head table, just as I, having conquered, took the place of honor at the side of my Father. That’s my gift to the conquerors!” Revelation 3:19-21 MSG
Wake up.
Take the place of honor.
Get in His presence.
Go.
