Good morning, God’s child.
Yesterday was a very rough day for families very dear to us. Three families experienced loss of the superior elders of their clans. The deaths were unrelated. Yet, heartache of loss has a reverb of sameness. And, have you noticed, in loss, we tend to hold on to every shred of memory? Perhaps it is a survival instinct. Perhaps, it is what fuels us to keep moving forward … fuels us to stand stronger in who we are, and who God is. Perhaps, holding on to the power of the Spirit that lived in them, we realize that God is still holy;
still all-powerful;
still good and kind and loving;
still eternal;
still omniscient;
still the Savior … whether we are ok with everything going on in our lives or not.
Through loss I’ve realized more and more over time, that I don’t have a right to pick and choose when I praised Him, because whether I have a good day or bad day, HE is still the same.
And, when we ask for answers to why suffering or pain happens, there is no guarantee that I will like what He says at first. But, I do guarantee that He gives HOPE along with His answer. His Word always brings hope!
Beloved, you can stand on His power even when you can’t stand on your own. He has promised, His grace is sufficient for you. His strength is made perfect in our weakness. As He raises His hand for the sun to rise this morning, as He calls in all creatures, the multitudes of beasts from places far away to swarm across the horizon and face the east and fill in a vast circle around their Creator, He is calling you to simply stand, too … to simply listen for the Spirit and sense Him from a place deep within, and know His ways. Just as the creatures of the earth trust Him. All things are in their proper order.
“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9 ESV
Wake up.

Feel His Presence.
Go.
