Good morning, Loves!

The past five years or so, my inner circle has grown tight and smaller. It’s been a necessity to get through from one day to the next and it has been a huge lesson for this “no thanks, I will do it myself” gal. (Its an ego-issue, ok?! I despise asking for help. Grr).

Jesus set the model for small and tight: delegation – know who to involve.

You’re going to need some help. Jesus called 12:

“The prayer was no sooner prayed than it was answered. Jesus called twelve of his followers and sent them into the ripe fields. He gave them power to kick out the evil spirits and to tenderly care for the bruised and hurt lives.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭10:1-4‬ ‭MSG‬‬

He held them close. Did they come short sometimes? Probably. Peter cut a mans ear off. Mm, that was probably (!) not taught by Jesus.

It’s useful to analyze the gist of people’s character. Huh?

So why IS he such a jerk?

Judgement happens (we are human, after all), it’s part of discernment.

There’s so much to be said about simply flowing and working-in with someone’s predictability. Jesus set that model.

Accept them.

Forgive them.

Just tolerate them.

Or, walk away and set the power of forgiveness over them if necessary.

But don’t waste time trying to change them.

I’ve had to fight for my joy. It’s a process.

I’ve also loved and laughed and created my way to it by the model my Savior set.

It would be fair to say there is some heavy trippin’ in the process of dealing with a trampled, used, and abused, shattered heart.

Attacked? Go to Jesus.

Grief? Take it to the Healer.

What if’s? Listen to wise, Christian counsel.

You are the apple of His eye, and like his 12, He has also given you power to kick out the evil spirits and to tenderly care for the bruised and hurt lives.

Wake up.

Care tenderly.

Go.

“But if you make yourselves at home with me and my words are at home in you, you can be sure that whatever you ask will be listened to and acted upon. This is how my Father shows who he is—when you produce grapes, when you mature as my disciples.” John‬ ‭15:6-8‬ ‭MSG‬‬

Welcome to this new day, Dearheart.

Morning.

From a deep slumber.

Morning begins to call us out of a random dream. Where shall my heart begin this day?

Holy Spirit, rise.

Peace, rise.

Gratitude, rise.

Joy, rise.

I put my Ellie-pup out the back door this morn and from a fence post down by the barn, I heard an owl calling in the arrival of his daylight slumber. Another owl answered from the creek. Even the beasts know to call in the peace and the pleasure of the Savior to begin each day.

Set Him high in His rightful place for the fresh beginning.

As this new sun rises, feel Him touch your face with His love for you.

Allow Him access to your heart-wide-open to place along your path those who need His Word delivered through you today.

Set your purpose firmly in His guiding hands.

Holy Spirit, rise.

Peace, rise.

Gratitude, rise.

Joy, rise.

Wake up.

Present yourself for His purpose.

Go.

Good morning, Dearheart.

Jesus was a master at getting away from the crowd.

They would all be celebrating. Going crazy.

He would slip away. Why?

“because I seek not to do My own will, but the will of the Father who sent Me.” John 5:30

He had to get in His Father’s presence.

He would go,

and get still,

and become

 –empowered-

by the Father who sent Him.

Divine empowerment becomes your North Star. His presence radiating through you is all you and I need, DearOne. Life can get suffocating. Humans can get cruel. But, if you can slip out and get to prayer just once today, then find a space tomorrow, and the next day – pray again … you will begin to feel grooves forming in your soul – a map to your peace. You’ll remember your way back to your peace when you slip out of the groove (which you will). But, you will know to do whatever it takes to stay in peace … it’s … so … good.

Even if you have to fight for it. The fight is worth it.

Wake up.

Slip away and pray.

Go.

“And you, your lives must be totally obedient to GOD, our personal God, following the life path He has cleared, alert and attentive to everything He has made plain this day.”

‭‭1 Kings‬ ‭8:59-61‬ ‭MSG‬‬

Good morning, DevotedOne.
My dad’s folks were collectors. On one of their flea market whims they took a liking to clocks. Pop Coon gave me their cuckoo clock when I was about 12, and I proudly hung it in my bedroom. It drove the rest of my family NUTS – but I loved that thing.

You know, it is true … you really can’t please everybody.

Until you recognize that

and accept that, then you will remain stuck.

Guess what, not even God pleases everybody. (Whaaaat?!)

Think about it. . .

was everyone on earth overjoyed to

share the lake,

or the fish,

or a drink of water,

or a meal with Jesus?

So, it is foolish – if God can’t even do that, to hope that you and I can do that.

But, here is the gamechanger: God said “this is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased.”

Jesus knew who he was.

His father told him.

His Father has told you and me the same thing.

Here’s the deal. If you don’t know who you are, then you will hear criticism and cave into it because you want to be liked by everyone. So if they want you to do something, you will follow just to be liked. You will cave into the wrong kind of competition … and think just because somebody else is running 100 mph then you must run 100 mph, but you are not built to run 100 mph like them.

And, if you are not careful … then you will wear yourself out and fall short of the goal.

But when you understand:

this is me,

I am God’s,

this is my lane,

this is my goal,

then the competition field becomes a field of one. You.

You can encourage a thousand people, and I can encourage only four.

In order to have peace with that, and not get trapped in ‘comparison complex’ that spins you around and keeps you tangled up in your shorts, you must:

-release the pressure-.

You do that by identifying Who you are aiming to please.

I’m not doing this for you. I am doing it for my God,

my Creator,

the One who loves me.

I will always fall short in your book.

But as long as I am following Him with everything in me, then I will always be right on target.

Wake up.

Define your field.

Stop the comparison.

Go.

“But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,” Matthew‬ ‭5:44‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Good morning, PrayingOne,

In time with my Savior is my favorite place. Here is where I find prayer will climb in and it will put up boundaries – it will say “Satan, you’re a liar”.

It will loosen your mind and allow His insight to set in.

It will hold your life together; He is reliable-solid-stable.

It will hold your career together when every task and co-worker changes.

It will hold your marriage together until your spouse is ready to love you again.

It will hold your family together should you have to go into a meth-house and drag your child out.

Or, should you have to bury a child.

Or, should you have to love your sister through the razor-wire. Either side.

Prayer takes you to face your Soul — the real substance of your life. Why you’re here… what God says you’re capable of. The big picture. You commit to healing when you get low, on your knees. Then, lower still. And you know, a lot of sheep don’t really want to heal because there’s a payoff to staying unstable (we don’t have to change, we get attention, we get to be “right”…)

Prayer is a privilege.

As perfect as my beloved angels are – I can find no place that says prayer is their privilege … prayer is reserved for the people. It is a privilege reserved for you and me.

In the time of trouble,

in the time of fear,

in the time of questions,

in the time of tears,

you can come BOLDLY to the Throne of Grace and give honor and lift each other and gain fresh life.

Through prayer.
Wake up.

Bend your knees.

Go.
