“But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,” Matthew 5:44 NKJV
Good morning, PrayingOne,
In time with my Savior is my favorite place. Here is where I find prayer will climb in and it will put up boundaries – it will say “Satan, you’re a liar”.
It will loosen your mind and allow His insight to set in.
It will hold your life together; He is reliable-solid-stable.
It will hold your career together when every task and co-worker changes.
It will hold your marriage together until your spouse is ready to love you again.
It will hold your family together should you have to go into a meth-house and drag your child out.
Or, should you have to bury a child.
Or, should you have to love your sister through the razor-wire. Either side.
Prayer takes you to face your Soul — the real substance of your life. Why you’re here… what God says you’re capable of. The big picture. You commit to healing when you get low, on your knees. Then, lower still. And you know, a lot of sheep don’t really want to heal because there’s a payoff to staying unstable (we don’t have to change, we get attention, we get to be “right”…)
Prayer is a privilege.
As perfect as my beloved angels are – I can find no place that says prayer is their privilege … prayer is reserved for the people. It is a privilege reserved for you and me.
In the time of trouble,
in the time of fear,
in the time of questions,
in the time of tears,
you can come BOLDLY to the Throne of Grace and give honor and lift each other and gain fresh life.
Through prayer.
Wake up.
Bend your knees.
Go.
