March 8, 2016 call Him in

“No one can take my life from me. I sacrifice it voluntarily. For I have the authority to lay it down when I want to and also to take it up again. For this is what my Father has commanded.” John 10:18

Sometimes, (more often than I like to admit) my human bulk kicks in and takes off down a wild trail all its own. Then, I hear the Tarzan call of the Holy One calling me back (He goes to extreme measures to shake the branches of one with my mammoth imagination). He sends a 47 mph Oklahoma breeze to say, “My Child.” I stop in my tracks. I know the sound of the flutter of His voice on my heart.

I have learned to respond, “Yes, Lord. I call all of the power of Your Holy Spirit back to me now. I am whole and complete in You.”

Then, I drop the waste of the worry, the self-defeating critiques, and the fear. I kick dirt on it, stomp it in, and walk. Clean. Free. Forgiven. Whole. Complete. All His power fueling me.

Life. When we show up and give our Spirit-driven energy away freely, intentionally, with sure intent, we get stronger. We become Power-full.

When we choose to send our energy out without thinking, fold to the wooing lies of the enemy, we become victims of our own making. When we over-give out of a need for perfection or obligation – we don’t get stronger. We drain, deplete, stiffen and panic from fear.

Be aware. Listen for the Holy. Call in His POWER.

Wake up.

Let Him back in.

Blessed with the crazy notion, the wild-eyed foolishness, and the madcap belief in the simple idea that I might help one to make a decision that makes a difference in the world . . . as stated by Ralph Waldo Emerson’s famous quote…“To know one life breathed easier because you lived, this is to have succeeded.” I get to use my small business background as a former owner of a Flower Shop and Hallmark Store and former co-owner of Disability Specialists, LLC, to help folks build dreams. I hold a M.Ed with emphasis on Adult Training and Education. I’d love to get my Doctorate in Educational Leadership . . . someday. My work centers on the belief that inside each of us lives a mesmerizing soul waiting to be revealed. Every day we can choose to trust the magic of our calling and take those unconventional moves to unlock an enchanted journey.
