“‘May the LORD bless you and protect you. May the LORD smile on you and be gracious to you. May the LORD show you his favor and give you his peace.’” Numbers 6:24-26 NLT
Good Morning, Fellow Prayer Warrior,
Are there sons and daughters whom you are lifting in prayer today? Younger friends and family?
Every young person I know is facing a battle at the moment. Including my loves. Life always makes me go “hmmm?” at its cycles. Our younger ones truck along just doing whatever it is we do all easy and free, then suddenly life hits and the stakes get high.
Our Bry went back to college this week for his final senior semester. (I miss him already – such a grounding rod, wise, old soul). God has all of my chicks in a phase that is building up for transition.
What a great joy it is to pray over and bless our children with God’s infinite, immutable Word. He promises that His Word “will not return empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it” (Is 55:11).
Take notice here … by blessing our children, you and I become conduits of of the POWER of God’s victory, goodness, and God’s favor on them. These blessings not only impact them TODAY, but for years … even generations to come.
As your thoughts go to each of your chicks today – send them a blessing … will you do that for them? Place their name in the prayer. It is especially meaningful to touch them tenderly on the arm, on the head, with a sweet hug as you deliver your blessing.
May the Lord bless you, _______ (Levi, Holly, Bry, Dani, Luke), and keep you; the Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up His countenance on you, and give each of you peace.
Wake up.
Pray His power on them.
Go.
