‘“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” 2 Corinthians 3:17-18 NIV
I paused one time, while riding across a pasture, and just to my right was a baby fawn bedded down in tall grass. Momma cows bed their newborn calves down in love-grass much the same way – so when the breeze blows, the tall strands loosen and cover veil-like over the top of the infant. I stared a moment-thinking that what I was looking at wasn’t real. Veiled, like a bride walking the aisle.
To be behind the veil is mysterious, isn’t it? The Creator sets certain insight there, a space contained … powerful … and just out of reach in the right kind of way. It is often here, when God Most High sets us behind a veil, that the Holy Spirit takes over again, as The Guiding Light. He leads you and me from the veil to the His place of the soul’s home. From here, to the next place of help, to the next, where our fiery and flowering soul gains roots again. In the surface, nothing much changes. But, beneath the skin, He most definitely unveils His most powerful forces.
Notice the deeper work.
