Jesus taught, “A farmer planted seed. As he scattered the seed, some of it fell on the road, and birds ate it. Some fell in the gravel; it sprouted quickly but didn’t put down roots, so when the sun came up it withered just as quickly. Some fell in the weeds; as it came up, it was strangled by the weeds. Some fell on good earth, and produced a harvest beyond his wildest dreams.” Matthew 13:3-8 MSG
Hello, LovelyOne-
Rituals of farming run deep in my family. Past and present The Almighty likes a partnership. It is up to us to help what God has begun. We often want the fields to remain full and green and in pristine beauty, just as we want life to remain as it once was. But, fire comes.
Or, grasshoppers.
Or, hail.
Sometimes, by accident, sometimes on purpose, sometimes for reasons no one can understand – reasons that are God’s business alone – sometimes, ruin comes. But, ruin can also turn everything to a new direction . . . with new and different rituals, new life has its own strengths and ways to shape the world. Even when the ruin is new, already, the field comes to life with new, tiny life. The angle at which we choose to view sets up the progress of the journey – our mindset from the remnants of the experience sets us in place for wild dream harvest.
Listen to your soul.
Leave room for wonder.
Wake up.
Acknowledge the new.
Go.
