‘But ask the animals, and they will instruct you; ask the birds of the sky, and they will tell you. Or speak to the earth, and it will instruct you; let the fish of the sea inform you. Which of all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this? The life of every living thing is in His hand, as well as the breath of all mankind.’ (Job 12:7-10 HCSB)
Good morning, DearHeart.
So, with one of my cubs on internship in the Alaskan wilderness, my nature heart takes my mind there every chance it gets. Each of the pictures and notes he and his crew have sent have blended a piece of my Spirit right in there with them. Isn’t the Most High amazing, to have given the gift of weaving hearts together with nature, no matter the space between.
In this unsettled severe weather pattern that has made its devastating self at home with us recently, keeping tempers high, and edgy guards up … even here, God Most High makes trails for peaceful places.
Listening to the rowdy morning bird tree, just off my front porch – God’s wild nature is all around. Birds, squirrels, coyotes, fish, deer – they are just beyond, instinctively full knowing of our presence. They stand with us, completely grounded with feet on earth with their Spirit linked into the Holy One. Nature plays with our sense of wonderment and we spin down into its vastness of peace like DNA spirals reaching deep within until we combust with the Creator’s glory like Roman candles. The Lord God Almighty,
-always providing,
-delivering balance in the extreme,
-He fills my soul.
Wake up.
Hear His balance.
Go.
