January 15, 2015 ice water

‘Therefore, my dear brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the Lord’s work, knowing that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.’ (‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15‬:‭58‬ HCSB)

Good morning, SweetOne!
When one of my sons has failed to get out of bed on the first call, the second call is a glass of ice cold water thrown on their face. It only has to happen once and then it is not a problem again. (Except, the oldest – it took twice!)
It makes me think – sometimes, we all need ice-water-in-the-face to help us regain our oomph. If you feel that you have lost your mission, confused, or just off balance, you can assume the enemy is at work. Satan likes to keep us worked up and away from our dreams. He plants seeds to shake our eyeballs loose and then drags our weary bodies over shards of broken glass.
But, the King of the Universe powers you. He does not let you keel over at the 1st blow. He won’t let you shrivel up, but enables your bones to head into the homestretch. It would be wasteful and painful to give up your mission now, DearOne. Your work, your love calls.

Wake up.
Stay steadfast.

Blessed with the crazy notion, the wild-eyed foolishness, and the madcap belief in the simple idea that I might help one to make a decision that makes a difference in the world . . . as stated by Ralph Waldo Emerson’s famous quote…“To know one life breathed easier because you lived, this is to have succeeded.” I get to use my small business background as a former owner of a Flower Shop and Hallmark Store and former co-owner of Disability Specialists, LLC, to help folks build dreams. I hold a M.Ed with emphasis on Adult Training and Education. I’d love to get my Doctorate in Educational Leadership . . . someday.
