‘When they saw the star, they were overjoyed beyond measure.’ (Matthew 2:10 HCSB)
Good morning, ShiningOne-
In the end, the heart speaks, asking the last star, didn’t you wonder why you never fell when the wind blew so mean? …. you are the masterpiece… at last– painted again each night… always shining the way to the Christ.
This comes with love for all who are in the storm, DearOne-that each one turns away from the self-doubt of ‘nothing can ever be made right’… and turns instead, in compassion, ‘to shine hope and hold
on’ for yourself and for others… for hope is made of the commitment to hold on to The Promise … hold on… and to allow a simple gesture of love, to be at the center… and to let, at least for a while, the cynical self, you know – the one who spoke out of turn too often – let that one lose energy, holding the acts of love like precious petals, letting go of old failures, and stringing together stars of one’s best blessings, rooted in the very woodgrains of a tiny manger.
Hold on (because, some days, that’s the only requirement).
