“Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Your heart must not be troubled or fearful.’ (John 14:27 HCSB)
Good morning, DearHeart-
I am addicted to peace. There is a tremor of fear in my veins that tends to slow boil when I let it. It can roll me under and hold my face down until I choose to backtrack to the last place I was when at peace.
It isn’t hard to find.
It is just blowing everything else aside long enough to listen to the Father of my focus. The distractions compete to fuel the inner chaos. I’m learning to get simple and still.
I’m learning to own the promises gifted to us from Christ,
our Maker,
our Creator,
our Savior.
Peace is my decision tool, too. When the tough choices howl, it helps to have a strategy. Mine is to take it to the Peacemaker, and follow Him to the place of greatest peace. There is my decision point. Even when it might be the tougher row to hoe, if it rings the peace bell-it’s the right seed to sow.
Are you in a peace place?
Wake up.
Get on your peace plan.
Go.
