‘Peter, however, got up and ran’ (Luke 24:12 HCSB)
Hello SweetOne. Peter’s heart was broken.
Pete, sitting there, worn. Tormented.
There must have been great friction in the upper room as he was wallowing in sorrow for selling out His Savior – now, his Master had been crucified. Why, do you think, Peter would run when the ladies returned from the tomb? They said they had seen Jesus. Perhaps Peter ran to find a way out of the soul-howling nightmare he felt he had created. He heard a certain hope. Adrenaline coursed through the sobs in his inner hell-place, and moved him to hope.
Oh, to see Him,
to touch His brow,
to cradle His Saviors face in his guilty hands …
Satan authors the darkest kind of guilt in our lives. The kind that riddles our mind with “no way out”.
The Holy Spirit authors conviction that makes us RUN to our Savior.
He pursues us so that we will let go of the enemy’s lies that say, “you screwed up WAY TOO FAR this time”.
Yes, God Most High pursues us to run back into the arms of TOTAL MERCY,
back into the arms of TOTAL FORGIVENESS,
back into the arms of TOTAL GRACE,
back into the arms of TOTAL LOVE.
It’s your choice to believe and live the lie of satan. Your choice to live condemned by the enemy, or to run to limitless mercy when conviction comes.
Wake up.
Choose.
Go.
