‘Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will travel to such and such a city and spend a year there and do business and make a profit.” You don’t even know what tomorrow will bring — what your life will be! For you are like smoke that appears for a little while, then vanishes.’ (James 4:13-14 HCSB)
Mornin’ ContentedOne!
There’s no good news today. Just the fact: it gets tougher as you go.
There it is.
Plain as day.
Many of my people are starting back to school today, and with that, things are starting to heat up again. But, your Provider has a plan for this vapor life that holds no comparison to the eternity that you are holding out for. None.
So. Here’s the deal:
Some say, ‘when I find a man, I’ll be happy.’ Or, ‘when I finish this semester, I’ll be happy.’ Or, ‘when I lose 20 lbs, then I’ll be happy’.
But, SweetOne, until you choose for Christ to be ENOUGH, you will never find contentment. Satisfaction will escape you and turmoil will control every part of your emotions.
Contentment is a choice.
As a Believer, you are a carrier of Christ. You learn contentment by living out your hours in situations of discontent- EEKS!
Be mindful that you are in the ‘School of Immanuel, God is with me’. Instead of stressing out over each syllabus, cultivate the presence of God Almighty all around you, moving within you. Choose to be a content vapor.
Wake up.
Be content.
Go.
