‘My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart, my portion forever.’Psalms 73:26
Beloved, good morning.
The staple of our spirit nature is that it goes on, from day to day, from this life to the next. The Spirit of our Savior in us, becomes our Spirit, too. This is not something that we do. This is what we are.
This is what we are.
And, in the throws of everyday life, this Spirit is the reason we become able to put our all into taking breath after breath. His Spirit, powering us, is the reason we are able to strenuously
whatever is snaggling at our heels.
Filled of Spirit we will draw doors where there are none. Then open them, and pass through into new ways and new Holy-filled lives.
DearOne, we persist.
He is my portion.
‘But Joshua had commanded the people: “Do not shout or let your voice be heard. Don’t let one word come out of your mouth until the time I say, ‘Shout! ’ Then you are to shout.” Joshua 6:10
DearOne, why would Joshua do that? Telling the Israelites to zip their lips?
Here’s my thought- it is rooted in something my momma used to say to my brothers and me all the time “if you can’t say something nice, then don’t say anything at all!”
Here’s the deal, Sweets … God knows that some of us will talk ourselves out of a blessing that He has already delivered!
You’ll talk your way right out of a promise He has ready to hand over. God knows that the promise that He has given you is dependent on your faith and your ability to grasp it and some of us will back our faith off so much that we reduce God to the size of our biggest problem.
He is a
We MUST learn to pray big prayers.
Be still, Beloved, and know that He is God.
So, those Israelites marched all around
and at first they were thinking ‘this feels weird, and it feels strange’, and the second day the stride gets longer and stronger with faith and there is increase in the march and in the confidence and then like them, we become ready.
By the time God’s Chosen gets to the end they have been marching silently just pacing circles around their promise and at the end of the 7th day,
600,000 screamed their heads off, it would’ve registered on the Richter scale, and, you know this story … the walls came tumbling down.
You may be praying a little too small.
Your Father has already set your blessing up for delivery.
Ask for it.

‘Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift.’ 2 Corinthians 9:15
Mornin’ Precious Soul!
One of the greatest gifts of my adult life has been God’s placement of this little chickee in my heart. She is smart and fearless. She questions and challenges me. She is classy and naturally polished in her professionalism. And, look at her-she is gorgeous. Her smile shares so easily and it is totally contagious!
Happy 31st Birthday Erica Jean! Love you to the stars.
Has Father God set certain souls in your life who sharpen you? Who make you want to live each day at a stronger clip? Those who just bring you joy just because?
Spend some time in praise, DearHeart!
Sing thanks to your Creator for your people! I just bet you are on their short list of favs, too!
‘Let me experience Your faithful love in the morning, for I trust in You. Reveal to me the way I should go because I long for You.’ Psalms 143:8
When praying from our hearts, DearOne, the Holy Spirit lifts us further away from outside and underlying influences. We cannot experience God’s presence through the thinking processes of the mind. We have to become like an empty vessel to become filled with the Holy Spirit and allow Him to fill us with experiences of the deeper things of God.
‘The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.’ 1 Corinthians 2:14
Good morning, Child of Stillness,
Thought is active:
Thought activity on Christ,
Thought activity on scripture,
Thought activity on His creation,
It’s funny to me, how my quiet times go. I start out all over the place in these forced activity thoughts. It has been a lifelong process to learn His ways in me.
I pick up His word, and take them in for a while.
Then I get still.
Empty the thoughts.
Empty. Empty. Acknowledge the distractors … “Yea, I see you, go on.”
I keep letting them go,
then, the quiet place comes.
The Holy Spirit takes me in from there. Here is the place He wraps me into the deeper places
of His truth,
of His guidance,
of His healing,
of His unfailing love.
He pulls His holiness around me there, lifts from the deepest places until His light fills every part. Crisp. Clean. Light.
The wonder of it all pulls me back to Him again and again.
If He can take my distracted mind there, He can take you there too.
