‘Then they brought the donkey to Jesus and threw their robes on it, and He sat on it. Many people spread their robes on the road, and others spread leafy branches cut from the fields.’ Mark 11:7,8
Good morn, God’s Child-
We have jackrabbits that hunt and play under the protection of the barbed-wire fence that leads up to our Oklahoma home. Their sixth sense as they scavenge for food is enthralling. Hawks fly over, knowing they have no chance at them with that fence in the way.
All living creatures have that built in intuition, some are highly tuned in. Some- not so much. I wonder, the hearts of all animalkind, as they watched their Creator ride into Jerusalem on the waves of excited cheers of the people. The animals surely knew … how soon the tide would turn against their Maker, the way they know and prepare for a storm before the front even arrives.
The bird cries of the day would have surely sent warning to a listening ear. Ladybugs on palm branches swattering wings in full color to warn the King. While the curious crowds called Him on in. “Hosanna”!
All of our salvation history leads up to, and goes forth from the events of this Holy Week. How will you journey with Him through this day, BelovedOne? Open your heart a little wider to feel the things you have not thought of before. Live each dust-rising step with the author of your eternity.
Don’t spend your time simply wondering about the events of this historical week, allow your heart, with animal instincts, to truly feel Him.
