Hello, SweetSoul!
‘Two are better than one because they have a good reward for their efforts. For if either falls, his companion can lift him up; but pity the one who falls without another to lift him up.’ Ecclesiastes 4:9, 10
Good morning my friend-
With whom will you choose to spend your daylight hours? There are friends that Father God places with you that speak to your spark – and the glow becomes a powerful torch. But, DearOne, if you are surrounded by ones who cross their eyes, roll them to the ceiling, and look at you with disgust – those who douse your passions – those are not people who care about you, your work, or your life.
Your friends see you as a living, growing being – and you see them as the same. Those are the friends of your soul for life.
Take notice of those with whom you grow and stay in charge of the fiery light within you that sees and knows and hears the direction of your Savior.

‘For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, so that you won’t grow weary and lose heart.
Therefore strengthen your tired hands and weakened knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be dislocated but healed instead.’ Hebrews 12:3, 12, 13

I’m always getting reminded, BelovedOne, this trailing Jesus gig is not always the cakewalk I imagined I was signing up for at the ripe age of eleven. Years have taught me that it has seasons of messy, tangled-up, confusing missions.
Don’t get me wrong – my faith doesn’t get shaken; it’s just that there’s a whole lot of fine print in the deal. Sometimes, I get surprised at what I signed up for.
I have found grace and mercy in places I never expected. And, judgement and harshness where I expected to find grace an mercy.
Believers find disappointment and and hard times, yet they keep believing because they know Father God is good and He loves them in spite of what seems to be the opposite.
Sometimes, I feel like a know a lot about God’s Word, and still act like a complete blockhead.
He leads, I dawdle.
He drags, I get stuck in the fence.
He shows things from His view, and they suddenly become much clearer.
Stay the course with me DearOne, no matter the surprises.

November 14, 2013 space

I speak to this often, but there is a reason … that is, I need it. My loves needs it. We must visit this again and again and again …

‘He said to them, “Come away by yourselves to a remote place and rest for a while.” For many people were coming and going, and they did not even have time to eat.’ Mark 6:31

Space, DearOne.
The to-do list is a fantastic tool to a point, then the enemy takes over to try to use it to drain you. Be aware. Be on guard. And, add space on the PRIORITY list.

Space means Jesus.
Listening, and breathing, and resting, and giving over of the worrisome details to Father God.
Space means time of falling into the natural rhythm of listening and responding and answering in spurts of silent prayer.
Sweetheart, keep at it until your “space-time” becomes your home for personal reflection and setting yourself up for receiving His guidance in and out of your busy hours.
Your choice. Your blessing.

Good morning, God’s Child-
The early stars specking through the black sky were amazing this morn! Did you see? I had to stare in wonder a moment – then quick stepped for a blanket and my chair! Brrr! Ok, enough of that. Here we go …

‘The Lord will always lead you, satisfy you in a parched land, and strengthen your bones. You will be like a watered garden and like a spring whose waters never run dry.’ Isaiah 58:11

Never forget Dearheart, you are a contributor to the world you encounter daily. Father God has placed you in this time and in this arena to add to the sum of the human experience … leading others closer and closer to the Almighty.
So, today, extend your love, and thanks, and blessing to everything that glorifies the Father – be highly aware of bringing Christ honor with your body, feelings, desires and needs; with the air you breathe; the chair in which you sit to do work; and to each relationship – you and God, you and me, you and others that commune heart-to-heart through words and actions.
The daily practice of being a vibe of our Creator is a living reminder that we are all parts of the Sacred.
He needs us to be His
hands
and feet
and words
to thirsty earthlings.
Commit. Go.

November 12, 2013 gambler

Good morning, Believer!
‘For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man that is in him? In the same way, no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.’ 1 Corinthians 2:11

It is amazing to me the ones who make it and the ones who don’t. If I were a gambler, betting on which ones will lock eyes to follow Christ, and those that won’t …. well, I’d be flat broke. Sometimes, those from squeaky clean families end up as career rebels of society; and some whose families give new meaning to the word “dysfunctional” become well-rounded, dynamic believers.
God Most High is not to be underestimated, even in the most messed up life, SweetOne. Way more than a miracle, a real and genuine Love goes to work … and people change.
With the mystery of God Almighty, He causes bizarre changes – I can’t even begin to fathom. Sure glad my bets don’t make any difference anyhow.

Good morning, fellow Traveler!
‘This is what the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel says: I am Yahweh your God, who teaches you for your benefit, who leads you in the way you should go.’ Isaiah 48:17

Over the weekend, I went to a workshop in New Orleans. The presenters focused on the fact that the rate of change in our society is at warp speed, so one-year plans and 5-year plans no longer cut it. Our lives must now operate on a
20-DAY-PLAN!
Good stuff.
My challenge to you this week is simple, Dearheart. When you settle down tonight after your full day, instead of asking yourself “Did I do anything great today?”; instead, ask yourself: “Did I go forward or backward; did I inch toward Christ in my thoughts and actions?”
Ask, “Have I responded to the people Father God has placed in my life in a way that He is pleased?”
Set your goal, and keep shuffling toward your Maker. Baby steps count.
Got it?

Opportunity is calling you BelovedOne!
‘Pay careful attention, then, to how you walk — not as unwise people but as wise — making the most of the time, because the days are evil.’ Ephesians 5:15, 16

Dearheart, when it all comes down – you don’t have obligations, you have choices. Your choices flat out propel you to the opportunities that Father God has orchestrated for your earth-life. Your wrong choices land you in correction lesson mode.
In the end, the purpose here is daily preparation for eternity. SweetSoul, that is what this life is all about for His children – prep hours for eternity in the presence of His Holiness.
We’ve got to take as many of our peeps as we can with us. It’s all about choices.
What opportunities has He guided toward you today? They await. Choices are calling.
Go get ’em.

November 7, 2013 truth-bomb

Hello SpiritSpark – today you need this truth-bomb:
‘Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me.’ John 15:4 NLT

“I just don’t feel close to God.” That was the complaint I heard.

Sadly, I knew exactly how she felt. Been there, done that.
Here is your hall-pass to get close to your Father God: steadfastly name your desire. Name the things and do the things that you want in your skin-tight relationship with the Most High. Sweetheart, it is so simple it almost seems comical.
I feel sure I keep the Post It note company in business with my note-to-self reminders of who I am in Christ. Because, who I am in Him is who I want to be, but …. the enemy tries to keep my gray-matter distracted and preoccupied.
Do whatever it takes.
Notes, doodling, music, writing, acting, humming, washing, cooking, reading – constant Holy input to raise His presence higher and higher and free-as-a-bird higher in you! Just do it.
Feelings come and go.
God Almighty’s presence stays put and is released in you the instant you call.

‘The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you; The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you; The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually). Numbers 6:24-26 AMP

This is powerful stuff, BelovedOne.
When you ask Father God, in expectation – you create new opportunity in your life. He wants to give you MORE.

He. Wants. To. Give. You. MORE!

Soak there a minute.
Now, ask Him:
Dazzling opportunities.
More loving and authentic relationships.
Utter fulfillment.
Greater abundance.
He will take up the reigns on your request and He will set in motion a soul-led, heart-driven mission.
You know that flutter in your belly? That’s the Holy Spirit trying to get your attention. He is waiting for your request. Sweetheart, it is time.
Ask.

‘The precepts of the Lord are right, making the heart glad; the command of the Lord is radiant, making the eyes light up.’ Psalms 19:8

Good morning to you BelovedOne!
What is the state of your eyes this morning? You can tell so much about a person’s heart by a glimpse of the light of the eyes. The eyes shadow the presence of the Holy Spirit. From His spark we know, we sense the tremor, something powerful, the wild freedom within is on the move and has made the heart His home.
The lighted eyes reveal one soul that could not turn away, but rather chose to follow – learning more how to leap, how to run, how to shadow the Holy. And He, our Creator, lovingly shadows back in return.
Notice the light.
Look for the spark of the Holy in those you pass.
Let yours glisten, revealing Him.
