Hello Freedom Fighter!
‘Remember the prisoners, as though you were in prison with them, and the mistreated, as though you yourselves were suffering bodily.’ (Hebrews 13:3 HCSB)
Prisons have been on my mind lately, Friend. (Side note, it really irks me to keep thinking about things I don’t want to think about. Especially when thinking about them shakes up my dark, and bitter places – the places I need the most work. Grrr)
Steel bars. Razor wire. Fences. Cells. Limits … limits … self-imposed limits. Prisons. Many kinds. Many ways …. some have scowls and harsh ways; there are kinds we sign on the dotted line; kinds with parking lots and bells and copy rooms, kinds from careless words of those with whom we live, and those we don’t, that we take on as truth.
Darlingheart, no matter where – Father God has you and me in our growing place. Even in prisons, He gives us the tools to grow and go free.
His winds, when we choose to feel Him touch our face, lifts from the deepest chains, our love, our heart, our dreams, our spirit, our soul … He draws us from our prison to freedom … on His Holy wings.
