‘Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.’ (Ephesians 4:32 ESV)
It is time.
Was it Timon or Pumba’s line: “It’s time to leave the past in the behind”? 😉
Beloved, today is new.
In its freshness, in its gift, let’s gift our hearts by focusing on the season. If the horrific events of the past week don’t make your heart cry out for the Savior, then pray for your stone cold heart to turn tender.
Say “Merry Christmas” to everyone you see. Everyone.
They need to hear it.
Turn all the lights off in your house except the Christmas tree as often as you can. Sweetheart, watch the reflection of the lights on the precious faces of those you love.
Watch the lights on the face of a sleeping child.
Thank God for the blessing of the sights and sounds of Christmas. Thank God for the reason for Christmas.
Say it again.
Because, DearOne, it’s time for our hearts to revel in the new life given by the birth of the Christ Child.
