December 15, 2012 suffer
Advent/tree gear: nail
‘Christ suffered for our sins once for all time. He never sinned, but he died for sinners to bring you safely home to God. He suffered physical death, but he was raised to life in the Spirit. (1 Peter 3:18 NLT)
The reason for Christmas is to bring you and me safely home to God.
The reason Christ had to be born was to bring you and me safely into the arms of God Most High.
The reason Christ had to be betrayed was to bring you and me safely home to the presence of the Almighty.
The reason Christ had to suffer was to bring our hurting hearts safely home to the side of our Savior.
The reason Christ had to feel the point of the nails ripping into His flesh was to bring our wounded hearts safely home into the healing place of our Healer.
The reason Christ rose again, into newness of life, was to secure our faith, safely home in the Light of the Alpha and the Omega.
The reason for Christmas is simply hope for you and me and all mankind.
