When we step away for a while, some may say we are “acting irresponsible”. The truth is that we must, at times, step away.
Jesus set the perfect example. He stepped away from the crowds. He excused himself from the chaos. He silenced the voices in order to focus in on the mission. His passion was not to save a few on the edge of a continent somewhere overseas. His passion was to save you and me some 2000 years down the road.
Beloved, step away to listen to the Father. He speaks in the quiet. Where He pulls, go. You are safe there. No matter what others might say.
“Then when they were alone, he turned to the disciples and said, “Blessed are the eyes that see what you have seen. I tell you, many prophets and kings longed to see what you see, but they didn’t see it. And they longed to hear what you hear, but they didn’t hear it.” (Luke 10:23, 24 NLT)
