Love, it seems to me, in its fullest form is an ongoing cycle of birth and death and rebirth. We release one phase, just as we receive another. Pain fades. Passion ignites. Only for pain to resurface again – and again be chased away by passion.
Father God loves in the same way we are to love. Embracing beginnings while at the same time withstanding many endings. . .then again many, many beginnings. Often the miracles happen even in the same relationship. Ripples of growing and fading, then growing again.
‘In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation.’ (1 Peter 5:10 NLT)
