Been thinking about Peter lately. From ‘Peter, James, and John in a sailboat’ – that Peter. He’s one of my favorite disciples. He tried. He failed. He tried again. And again. And again.
You see, when Jesus went looking for His closest ones, He didn’t choose the most perfect or the smartest or the ones with lots of money. He chose those that were highly coach-able. Ones who’s hearts could be changed by His love.
Sweetheart, that is all He wants from you and me. Pure-hearted trying.
Mistakes? Back up and make them as right as you can, then move on. Whatever you are called to, strive to be devoted to it in all ways- large and small. Fall short? Try again. Mastery is made in baby steps not in leaps. Be brave, be fierce. And move on.
Consider yourselves assigned.
‘Jesus said to him (Peter), “If it is my will that he remain until I come, what is that to you? You follow me!” (John 21:22 ESV)
