When the enemy decides to attack-he takes his blows straight to what is most precious to us, doesn’t he? My beautiful ones and their families have been hammered lately.
And, families can be strange animals. I tell you what, we can go for long stretches of time without seeing each other or talking too much, then when crisis comes against one – the fighter comes out in the big dogs like they’ve been paddling along in the same canoe for days on end! When that happens I can feel the hair stand up on the back of Dale’s neck! Bizarre reality.
Twice in the past week the words “Stay the course” have been spoken directly to me through two different mentor-souls that have poured the Creator’s wisdom into me.
When that pattern happens, I stand up and take notice Sweetheart. I do not take that lightly. That is a distinct call of Father God.
Those are the words you need today too.
Stay the course.
“Since Jesus went through everything you’re going through and more, learn to think like him. Think of your sufferings as a weaning from that old sinful habit of always expecting to get your own way. Then you’ll be able to live out your days free to pursue what God wants instead of being tyrannized by what you want.” (1 Peter 4:1, 2 MSG)
