Beloved, has the Holy Spirit ever hovered on you with weight so thick you think you may not breathe? Heavy. Alive. Present. Fully present.
There is discontent all around us. In and out of our days. Discontent is easy. Doom and gloom and downhearted are easy. Everywhere you look you can see rage and fear. Discontent . . . easy and undemanding. It just tangles through thoughts. Spreading. Spreading thru like fire through straw.
Yet, there is One of Glory. Following. Chasing. Right on our heels. Silent. Purposeful. Calling into our every move. To be the Savior. To be your Savior. To be mine. To release us from the rage and fear. He hovers. He calls to abandon discontent. His Presence coiling like a mist, ready to release the crushing Glory of His Kingdom. He brings peace on us. A slight whisper. A second breathing. And, He blankets us with peace.
‘You have encircled me;
You have placed Your hand on me.’ (Psalm 139:5 HCSB)
