Putting yourself out there.
Allowing your heart to nod “yes” when the Holy Spirit pushes to lay yourself wide open so another soul might be moved through you by the mysterious, unexplainable POWER of Father God in you.
Sweetheart. Your story, your beauty, your wisdom, your warp-ed-ness (that typed out warp-ed-MESS on first try! :)) are gifts.
When you decide to open up and put yourself OUT THERE it tends to bring up your stuff. Baggage. Baggage with loud voices:
“what if someone thinks I’m horrible?”
“what if they tell OTHERS I am horrible?”
“what if I am really not good enough for this?”
Or … Ok … How about, let’s spend hours comparing ourselves to others … and why they would be better at this than me … and why people love them more than me … and why I should just give this up. (HELLO-is this hitting home with you?!)
Allow me to propose a solution to you:
How about using all this life-sucking panic attack energy to rephrase the questions that are ripping bullets through us? Rephrase the questions DearOne: “ok, even tho this scares me to death, presses all my buttons … what would I be doing if I wasn’t doing this?”
Answer: “I’d be doing it anyway.”
Even if it calls me to step up.
Because this …this is where God Most High has placed me. It is part of my gorgeous, precious, inspired story. It is part of HIS story. Beloved, get still in the storm for a while. Go within. Go deeper still, drawing Him in to fill the panic places. There you will find … all you need is already in you. Tap the Source. Be filled. Unshackled. Unchained.
Put yourself out there.
‘It’s in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Long before we first heard of Christ and got our hopes up, he had his eye on us, had designs on us for glorious living, part of the overall purpose he is working out in everything and everyone.’ (Ephesians 1:11 MSG)
